The fascination for all things modern, and Western, in Japan
is still one of the country's most striking features. This leads
us to ask why a greater effort is not being made to foster an
appreciation of Japan's unique traditions and crafts.
The people of Japan have much to be proud of in their own
technology, art and culture, and should cherish these
traditions and share them with the rest of the world.

モダンで西欧的な物が好まれる時代。しかし日本の物はまだその中でも素晴らしい要素を持っている。このことが日本の伝統文化や工芸を見直すべきではないかという我々の問いかけとなった。
日本ももっと自国の技術、芸術、そして文化に誇りを持ち、それらの伝統を愛し他の国と分かち合うべきではないだろうか。
